Spring has arrived to New England, and it is a time of year that gets me twittery and a-glow. Looking at the budding trees, clear blue skies, and blossoming flowers makes me grateful for the simple beauties and treasures in my life: my family, friends, a home, food on the table, etc . . .
It could be that I am just a sentimental fool, but I honestly believe the world is chock full of genuinely good people. A smile, a friendly hand, spontaneous interactions are what make life worthwhile. While checking out my friend's amazing blog that always uplifts my spirits, Der Wenigste Blog der Welt, I came across youtube posting of the joys of living and human interaction.
I know it is going to sound crazy, but I have been grateful for the current economic downturn in this country. Always one to look for the silver lining, the financial crunch we have all been feeling has helped bring me, and I think it is safe to say the majority of us, back to basics. Good family and friends, good food, good faith - that's what it's all about.
Enjoy and don't be afraid to smile and have fun! Life is too beautiful, too fun, too lovely to be wasted in anything but happiness and gratitude.

I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I did too. And I agree. The current economic climate of our country is sending us back to the basics and HOPEFULLY helping us to be more appreciative of what we have been given, rather than focusing on what we don't have!
