Hmmmm. . .where did I hear that before. . .? It's like a line that keeps running over an over in my head like a song. . .
Well, I'm sure it'll come to me later.
On to the purpose of tonight's post: two of my flash fiction pieces have been accepted into issue number 66 of the online literary journal Fictionville. Yay!! It's really rather nice to know that all my hours and hours of querying have paid off.
The sight is very rudimentary. But don't let that fool you. There are fantastic pieces there. One of my favorites is The Pumpkin Witch. It's a perfect little ghost story that will certainly send chills down your spine, especially come Halloween.
At any rate, the querying and fretting isn't over just because some of my work has been accepted. In fact, I have been motivated to query even more. Different pieces of course, and I am working on a novel right now that, who knows, maybe sometime within the next couple of years will be circulating amongst some editors and agents. The thing is, despite the many rejections my little babies might receive, I have received another boost of confidence to keep fighting the fight.
And like Offspring says. . .

It's true... you ARE going to go far, kid!
Congrats, Corina! I've always thought you were so talented. Keep your chin up and let these positive experiences carry you through. Best wishes for the future! Good luck on your novel. :)
